It lasts for four to six hours. If shortness of breath persists, another spray shot can be inhaled. The total daily dose for adults should not exceed 12 sprays (equivalent to 1.2 mg salbutamol). For children (aged 4 to 11 years), the total daily dose should not exceed 6 sprays (equivalent to 0.6 mg salbutamol).

Who can use Salbutamol?

Salbutamol is used in adults, adolescents, and children aged 4 to 11 years to treat and prevent certain respiratory diseases. Diseases with reversible narrowing of the airways such as bronchial asthma and COPD, a chronic respiratory disease caused by smoking, are treated symptomatically with salbutamol. It is used preventively to prevent shortness of breath that occurs due to spasms of the airways during exertion or contact with allergy-causing substances.
