According to The Ministry of Public Health in Qatar the red list and quarantine rules for healthy arrivals have been withdrawn. From Sunday, 4 September 2022, any healthy traveler who arrives from abroad will not be placed under quarantine. That doesn’t apply to travelers who test positive for Covid-19 after arriving. However, keep in mind that both foreign citizens and Qatari residents who come from abroad will have to take a rapid antigen test within 24 hours of arrival in Qatar. That has to happen at an approved by the Ministry of Public Healtprivate medical center, or at a Primary Health Care Corporation health center.
Official statement
All visitors are obligated to provide either a negative PCR test result within 48 hours of the scheduled departure time, or a rapid antigen test result within 24 hours. This applies to all travellers, no matter the immunity status. Furhtemore, at least three days before arrival, non-GCC nationals or residents will still be required to register on Ehteraz. However, uploading your vaccine certificate or certificate of recovery is now optional.
When we asked Qatar Airways what will happen if a person who already bought a flight ticket to Qatar, and checks out positive for Covid-19 or for any other reason has to cancel flying, they said that quote: There will be a penalty for cancellation, after that what is left will be refunded”.
Can You cancel your hospitality purchase due to a positive COVID-19 result or health restrictions?
On the official website of Qatar (www. qatar2022.qa), it is stated that “No refund for any products will be applicable if the customer is unable to attend the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™ event due to a positive COVID-19 result or health restrictions as it will be the responsibility of the customer to rely on their own insurance for any financial implications.”
This means that is entirely up to every person to individually go and insure their ticket at an insurance agency of their own choosing that offers such services. Click here for Source.

In the official website it is also stated that “In the event that the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™ is cancelled, fans who have already purchased Official Hospitality Packages to the tournament via MATCH Hospitality will receive a refund equal to the value of the original purchase price. Please refer to clause 15.3 of our Hospitality Webshop Sales Regulations and Hospitality Offline Sales Regulations for more information.”
Even if you do not need visa however, you must have an approved Hayya Card to enter Qatar from 1 November 2022 to 23 January 2023. Furthermore, only World Cup event ticket holders can apply for a Hayya Card.
